October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! 

In honor of my mother, Dr. Ida Lucille Price, LadyScrub, is promoting education, information, and resources to continue the battle of breast cancer research! LadyScrub will also donate $5 of each LadyScrub product purchased and/or the purchase of the Pink Rose Scrub (retail: $5) to the American Cancer Society at the end of October.

Dr. Price believed in education, creating a life of knowledge and support. Growing up Dr. Price also believe in holistic healing through the essential oils of the earth. She was taught as a young girl how to use oils, foods, flowers and herbs, to heal our scars, aches, and pains. LadyScrub goal is contribute to the research for not only early detection, but alternative medicine.

Dr. Ida Lucille Price was born December 28, 1949 in Snowhill, Maryland. She started college at Strayer’s Business College in Washington, DC in 1967 and was later employed for IBM as Manager of Technical Publications until 1992 when she retired. She returned to Strayer University graduating with her Bachelors of Science Computer Information Systems in 2003. She attended University of Maryland Baltimore County receiving her Masters of Arts and Teaching in 2005.  Dr. Price embarked upon a second career as an educator in Baltimore City and Prince Georges County.  Even though she retired in 2015, she remained available as a substitute teacher whenever she was called.   In 2009, Dr. Price started the Ph.D. program to receiving her doctorate at Waldon University in 2017.

Dr. Price was an avid entrepreneur and founded a second business, Children of the Light in the Washington, DC area.  Through the theater and as an educator, she has touched, enhanced, and changed thousands of lives with encouragement and vision. Dr. Ida Lucille Price, 67, died May 11, 2017 at MedStar Georgetown University, losing her battle to cancer.
